Carousell Raised Funding Series B Worth $35 Million led by Rakuten Ventures

Carousell is a mobile applications that allow users to sale used goods easily directly via smartphone. Previously, Carousell launched their official application at the end of 2014 in Malaysia last year.

Carousell had previously received  funds from a number of prominent investors, including Rakuten Ventures. Today Carousell announced that they received funding series B worth $35 million.
This funding was led by Rakuten Ventures, and they were accompanied by Sequoia India, Golden Gate Ventures and 500 Startups.

Through the acceptance of this new capital fund, Carousell aiming to expand their services to new markets, thus strengthening their position in the field of buying and selling on a portable device.
